● “Love-thy-neighbor” activities for seniors in Suwon, Cheonan, Jeongeup, and Ulsa

● Particularly those suffering from the COVID-19 situation··· Offering free meal/side dishes/food

SKC (President Lee Wan-jae), together with three of its affiliates, engages in “love-thy-neighbor” activities, particularly for seniors suffering from the COVID-19 situation. The activity is part of the effort to participate in the Project for the Establishment of a Safety Net, which is carried out by the SK Group.

On February 8, SKC, along with SK nexilis, SK picglobal, and SKC Hi-tech & Marketing, started offering free meal to seniors in Suwon, Cheonan, Jeongeup, and Ulsan, where they operate their places of business.

On February 8, those at SKC provided side dishes and lunch boxes to seniors who are living alone at the Jeongja 1-dong Community Center, Suwon, which is close to SKC’s Suwon Factory, with the help of the local women’s association. The company has engaged in a “love-thy-neighbor” activity like this since 2002, and this year, it expanded the scope of those receiving the aforementioned service.

SKC Hi-tech & Marketing, which operates a factory for film processing in Seongeo, Cheonan, also carried out the activity on February 8. It provided a package of health food to local seniors who are living alone, through a network of cooperation that is participated in by the local community center, Hanaro Mart, and home economics agents.

SK nexilis will take part in the activity in the form of providing support for local free meal kitchens for seniors in Jeongeup, in cooperation with Jeongeup City Hall. SK picglobal will provide financial assistance to the Senior Welfare Center, which is close to its factory in Ulsan

Commenting on the matter, an SKC official said, “We always strive to fulfill our social responsibility, including filling in social safety network loopholes. The activity carried out by us for locals close to our places of business this time is part of such an effort.”
