● ‘The Ministry of Employment and Labor’ and ‘the Presidential Committee on Jobs’ has announced top-100 companies that _ create_d more jobs and improved job quality in 2021. 

● SK nexilis has increased jobs by over 20% a year since 2019 while improving work-life balance for its employee

SK nexilis, a subsidiary of SKC (CEO Lee Wan-jae), specializing in the manufacture of copper foil for EV batteries, has been selected as one of Korea’s best companies in job creation in 2021 in recognition of its significant contribution to creating more quality jobs during the year.

On July 27, SK nexilis was presented with the presidential award as ‘Korea's Best Job Creator 2021’ at a ceremony hosted jointly by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Presidential Committee on Jobs.

Launched in 2018, the ‘Korea’s Best Job Creator’ Awards are aimed at recognizing businesses that have _ create_d jobs while leading the way in improving the quality of jobs. 2021 marks its fourth anniversary. Candidates are selected through recommendations from the public and analysis results of the Employment Insurance’s data_ base_, with the 100 finalists chosen through on-site investigations and assessments by the Selection and Review Committee.

SK nexilis was recognized to be particularly outstanding in (1) creating new jobs, (2) reducing working hours, and (3) enhancing employee welfare: The company has continued creating new jobs since 2019, hiring more than 20% of its total workforce YoY every year. It has also cut down on unnecessary overtime work through the introduction of flexible working and the expansion of telework infrastructure. It has enhanced employee welfare, too, through various efforts to support a better ‘work-life balance’ for its employees by recommending them to take a monthly leave among others.

CEO Kim Young-tae of SK nexilis said, “Based on our company’s best copper foil manufacturing technology for EV batteries in the world, we will grow into the world’s No. 1 copper foil manufacturer equipped with the largest copper foil supply capacity across the globe.” He went on to say, “We will do our best to make our members feel happy while working and contribute to the development of the mobility industry by producing the world’s best products in the industry.”
