Chairman Choi Plants Trees with Suwon Citizens

On March 25, Choi Shin Won, Chairman of SKC and SK Telesys and 100 employees of the two companies joined forces with Suwon citizens, city employees, Korail employees to plant trees in Flower Park in Paldal, Suwon.

In commemoration of the 69th anniversary of the tree-planting event sponsored by the Suwon City Government, Chairman Choi joined the event for the second time following last year, attended by a total of 550 persons including SKC/SK Telesys. City officials, Suwon Green Trust, and community associations. They planted 720 trees of 10 species including dogwood trees in the green buffer zone emcompassing55,283㎡, and simultaneously participated in the campaign to prevent a forest fire in the spring.

This is one of many volunteer projects Chairman Choi and SKC employees have participated in through their partnership with Suwon City. They have been conducting a campaign to improve the environment at Seocho-cheon Stream since 2008. From this year, the employees of Suwon Chamber of Commerce represented by Chairman Choi, and Gyeonggi Community Chest of Korea joined the campaign.

Chairman Choi said, “Every single tree we plant today will make the earth greener and a better place to live for our future generations.”
