2018-10-04

● Beginning in October, SKC started teaching its ethical management system to partner companies to expand the sharing of infrastructure in order to _ create_ social values.
● Plans are under way to expand into information security training next year for better protection of a company’s assets.

SKC has started sharing its ethical management know-how and intangible assets with its partner companies in order to grow together.

On October 1, SKC employees visited the headquarters of Chungwoo Core in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do Province to provide ethical management training. Chungwoo Core became an SKC partner company in 1988 and now supplies the paper tubes used in rolling film.

Manager Jang Soon-koo taught SKC’s ethical management system at the headquarters of Chungwoo Core in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do Province on October 1.

Jang Soon-Koo, a manager of the SKC Management Audit Team, gave a lecture on the negative effects of unethical practices of the company, focusing on actual cases and emphasizing the need for ethical management. He explained that company employees have an obligation to protect company resources such as intellectual property and physical assets. He explained the details about the national law that prohibits the receiving of grafts and gifts (Anti-Corruption Act) and reminded the employees of the importance of not accepting or giving bribes.

About 50 employees of Chungwoo Core attended the training. When the training session ended, CEO Lee Bo-young and other company executives signed a written pledge to implement ethical management. This pledge was also signed by the rest of the Chungwoo Core employees.

SKC will further improve its efforts to share the company’s intangible assets like its ethical management systems with its partner companies. This year, SKC will share details about its ethical management system with three companies, including Chungwoo Core. SKC is studying plans to expand into information security training next year for better protection of a company’s assets.

Choi Doo-hwan, the director of Ethical Management at SKC said, "SKC is making efforts on different fronts to grow together with our community through the creation of social values. Sharing our infrastructure with others is one such example. Through ethical management, we will strive harder to achieve mutual growth with our supplier partners." [The End]
