Committed to take the Georgia plant forward in an ambitious strategy

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of SKC’s Georgia plant, Chairman Choi Shin-won, CEO Park Jang Suk and several key members of the board of directors attended the plant’s special anniversary event.
At the ceremony, Chairman Choi Shin-won presented a 10th anniversary commemorative gift to all the plant employees and promised bigger rewards in the future. SKC Inc also donated $20,000 to United Way, an American social welfare organization, to show its commitment to the local community.
The Georgia plant was built in 1997 as part of SKC’s global strategy and it began manufacturing polyester film in 2000 and currently has a 15% share of the U.S. polyester film market, which is the world’s largest market for polyester film as it comprise 33% of worldwide demand.
