Joint venture with Taiyo Nippon Sanso, the largest industrial gas supplier in Japan.

SKC enters the industrial gas market. With a joint investment of 70 billion won in partnership with Taiyo Nippon Sanso (大陽日本酸素), the largest industrial gas supplier in Japan, SKC plans to establish a jointly-owned company in Ulsan. SKC Park Jang Suk signed a joint venture deal with Executive Vice President Keiji Futamatsu of Taiyo Nippon Sanso on July 17, 2007 at SKC’s Ulsan plant to enter the industrial gas market.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony was held later at Ulsan City Hall where the Ulsan Mayor Park Maeng-woo welcomed Executive Vice President Keiji Futamatsu. Taiyo Nippon Sanso was founded in Tokyo in 1910 and supplies industrial gases to global companies around the world. With extensive experience in operating plants and strong research capabilities, Taiyo Nippon Sanson is a leading industrial gas company that possesses many leading technologies.
