Suwon is a sister city with Jinan in China. Recently, Jinan Mayor Chang(張建國) visited SKC’s Suwon plant on June 14, 2007, with an 11-member delegation. The delegation visited Suwon to foster cooperation and build a stronger relationship with the city. They were given a tour of SKC’s plant and watched a brief video presentation of SKC’s history and operations. Factory manager Hong Young-ki warmly welcomed the Chinese delegation to the Suwon plant and described how the company grew into a leading maker of optical films. He gave details on what kind of products use optical films. Jinan Mayor Chang(張建國) said, “I am amazed at SKC’s manufacturing techniques that allows them to make high-tech film out of basic materials.”
