SKC (President Park Jang-suk) said, on December 26, that it had held a ceremony to donate 200 million won to scholarship funds the provided by Jincheon County Office in North Chungcheong Province. On behalf of SKC, Yeo Gu-hyeon, chief of the SKC Jincheon Plant, delivered 100 million won both to the Jincheon County Office and Iwol-myeon township office to help expand the scholarship funds for the region. The scholarships donated on the day will be used to nurture human resources from the region and help develop prestigious schools there.



SKC is a high-tech materials company that comprises the chemical business that spearheads Korea’s polyurethane industry and the film business that ranks fourth in the world. By introducing a of eco-friendly material products in recent years, the Company is transforming into a “Global Green Company.” The SKC Jincheon Plant complex inaugurated a polyester film plant armed with state-of-the-art facilities, in October last year. Along with the existing solar cell materials and PI film plants there, the plant complex is producing eco-friendly high-tech materials, thus contributing to the growth of the local economy and jobs creation.
